Let's be honest with ourselves...

I can't bring myself to give this more than a 7/10 right now. The jokes were decent and your art style is quality, however, the pure lack of actual animation turned me off to the whole thing. I never felt like anything was happening, even in the club scene. Had you spent a few more hours drawing just a few more poses and using some different camera angles this could have been awesome.

I will say that for a true short, this style works well. This submission was a tad too long for it, though. Also, some of your jokes would have benefited from a little bit more physical presentation.

I really like your stuff, but I guess what I'm trying to say is you need to work on your pacing and staging before you reach the quality I demand in a 10/10 worthy flash.

Also, :3 , >:( , and 8===D

BiffTheTimid responds:

I demand those extra 3 points.

Nice...for now

For your first submitted solo project, this wasn't bad at all. I lol'd and had a good time watching it. The animation was done well and you clearly took the time to make things look good.

I don't have sound enabled where I'm sitting right now, so I can't say anything about that.

The problem with this short is that...well, it's too short. I was hoping more would happen, if just a little bit. In my opinion, things like this are better submitted in collections with a menu where the viewer can select from at least five shorts.

Because of the length, I cannot give this more than 3/5 and 7/10. However, I commend you on your talent and patience (fbf is a B and a half). Can't wait for more in the future!

Tawnik responds:

Im sad and sick (not because of you)
so you're trying to tell me that the animation was okay, you laughed and you enjoyed the animation but just because it wasnt long its supposed to have low score ? Okay, no problem, I just didnt thought about animations this way.

Humor and Nostalgia = tada

^Disregard nonsensical title.

This was animated incredibly well. I'd venture to say you will rival Adam Phillips soon enough. Although some of the voices were a bit off at times, and the humor wasn't always funny enough, this animation not only kicks ass, but makes me want to bust out my N64.

I would suggest working on your lip syncing a tad, but it wasn't a huge problem. The biggest issue I have with this Flash is the writing, which is awkwardly paced and could do with some brushing up.

I can't wait to see your next piece. Props to the actors too, who did a good job despite a few botched lines.

Wow, fantastic! When is it coming to Steam? This game is a perfect arcade hit.

Very Nice

great work; blew my mind

Although this interactive piece could benefit from a graphical overhaul, you've developed an interesting mechanic and successfully presented a mystical concept in such a way that it can be easily grasped (as firmly as it can be, at least.)

This is just all around...good plain fun

I haven't played a game this refreshing in some time. You really just blew me away with everything from the visual style and puzzle design down to the story and peripheral interesting stuff, like the spam blocker e-mails.

I haven't finished the game, but I'm on the second chapter as I write this and I love what I see so far. I haven't encountered any bugs yet, which is a huge plus.

The game looks great, but I have a small gripe about the graphics, which is they can be a bit stressful on the eyes at times. Had you included an option for switching the background off or at least to stop animating it, this game would be near perfect.

The sound is simple, but does the job and isn't in the way. Not much else to say about that. I'm not a big sound guy.

You really grabbed me on the story. So far it's surprisingly compelling. The characters feel right, even through text, and I really get the feeling I'm in an underground movement of some sort.

Your puzzle design...is wonderful. I've noticed others say some later puzzles are easier than those early on and I do have to agree, but overall they are each a unique challenge, even though they might not be scaled perfectly. I don't know anything about hacking into systems, so I can't say whether or not they were accurate representations of hacking, but I really didn't expect that.

My greatest gripe with this game is going to be the interface design. I had no problem with the way the puzzles looked or performed, but I always had the feeling I was going somewhere as my character, not sitting at my computer the whole time. I think you missed an opportunity to convey that feeling somewhere in your interface design, especially the parts that looked like maps. I suddenly felt like I was moving from my emails on the computer to somewhere else, possibly a terminal in the are represented by the map. I understand why you did it this way, but I would have preferred a more realistic interface.

In any case, this game blew me away. I cannot wait for the next installment of this or any game you decide to make next. Keep up the good work.

Awesome Dude

I'm jamming out to this right now!

Is it for a game or were you just messin around?

Rig responds:

It was for a game, but the file got deleted before I could finish it. You can hear it here: youtube.com/watch?v=F_ynNDjPx_o

You're on your way

You obviously have the talent to pick up your guitar skill in the next few months. Keep at it.

This song is pretty cool. Did you write it?

watzmann responds:

Thank you.

I wrote the acoustic part but gianfri improvised on the elecrtic part.

I love you

A few years ago, I burned all of your then current tracks on CDs and listened to them while I was meditating. Now, I do my work to your music. I find it helps me keep a steady pace, almost as if it is the metronome for my work day.

Anyway, enough sappy stuff. You are amazing, sir.

Awesome! Looks like a 3D render.

Is this U-Balt?

radiodark responds:

MICA, but we're right up the street from University of Baltimore.

Sine you were going for realistic...

I can't give you too many points after you've stated your intention. However, the model itself is quite nice. There isn't a whole lot of detail in this, but there doesn't need to be. You did what there was to be done correctly.

This is lacking the proper materials and lighting, but I'm sure you know that because your robots are more than ten times better.

3D-xelu responds:

hehe.. thanks :P

this was my first render with Vray and i know the lighting suck..

it was for a 2 step chalange... step1 > build a desk step2 > fill it with "items"

aaannddd nobody did the step 2 so i was to lazy to finish it :P

Wow, awesome

You really nailed the Protoss armor. The Naga comes out in the body, but you might have added some fins to the head, protruding from the helmet. The light effect on the tail piece is pretty cool, but the rest of the tail sections lack finished detail like the armor has.

Overall, it's a good piece of work. Keep it up.
